8th International Martial Arts Festival - Shochu Geiko September 2009 (MZ)

14.08.2009

Dear Sensei, Friends and Students,

Please find attached this year’s information for our Eighth International Martial Arts Seminar ”Shochu Geiko 2009” to be held in Thetford,

Norfolk, England over the weekend of the 12 th and 13 th of September 2009.

As many of you will no doubt be aware, Ishin Ryu Ju-Jitsu started a year long campaign to raise money for “HELP FOR HEROES” on the 25 th of April 2009 and we have invited Squadron Leader Steve Smith and the “HELP FOR HEROES” team back to our 20 th anniversary in April next year to hand over a cheque for all monies raised over the year.

Over the weekend of this year’s Shochu Geiko, Sempai Will Lexton will be holding a 100 man wrestling challenge and all entrance fees will go to our collection for the charity.

Sempai Will is a serving Met Police officer and a member of their wrestling team and he has very kindly secured the help over the weekend of the Met Police Wrestling coach who will be overseeing the 100 man challenge.

I hope you all support this great event and help us to raise lots of money for our “Help for Heroes” appeal and show our appreciation to Sempai Will for coming up with the idea and all his hard work in taking on 100 challengers during the day for this amazing event.

This event will also be filmed as part of our “Help for Heroes” documentary covering every fund raising event we would have staged during our year long appeal for this excellent charity.

This year we will also have representation from all three of our armed services under our newly formed “Ishin Ryu Military Dojos” under the direction of Warrant Officer Paul Rudd and we hope to have the new “Ishin Ryu Military Dojos” Insignia and badge available to proudly show everyone.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday 12 th September for what promises to be our biggest and best seminar to date.

Kindest regards,

Kevin
